The weather was fino for training work at Ricearton this morning, tho outside of the courso proper being open for some useful galloping, though many horses who raced at Motukarara on Saturday had an easy morning. Silvox covered a mile in 1.47, but was lame afterwards. Copyist did a halt mile along tho back in 50 4-sscc. Cricket Bat and Rocket ran a mile in 1.44 and Fracas seven furlongs in 1.30 3-5, Horowhcnua and Wee Musk taking; 1.37. Horn’s Roof and Trumpet Blast did an easy milo in 1.50, and Jaloux in 1.47. Dollar Prince did half a mile in 51 3-ssec, Hororata doing it in 50 2-ssec. Custodian ran six furlongs in 1.18 3-5, the last half mile with a mate taking 51sec. Knockout and Streamline did seven furlongs in 1.32.
Mother Superior beat Aesculus over a mile in 1.46 1-5. Free Air, assisted by Horotiu, did an easy mile in_ 1.50 2-5. Variant and Hostis covered half a milc_ in 49scc. Great Star covered seven furlongs easily in 1.33 2-5. Rebel Star beat Pompeii over six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. Smuggler wont about a mile and a quarter. Signaller co.vered the last mil© in 1.45 3-5. . Sam Smith and Southdown did six furlongs in 1.18. Tauramai did a working gallop, the last mile taking 1.54. Madam Pompadour, assisted by Strong Light, did seven furlongs in 1.32 2-5. Haut Monde and Kotoa separately ran down the straight. Cranford did six furlongs in 1.17 2-5, and Hinc Ra half a. milo in 50 l-ssec. Cleaver and Cupbearer ran seven furlongs easily in 1.30 3-5, Heather Glow taking 1.34 3-5. Invoice and Masquerader covered half a mile in 50 3-ssec, and Master Reynard and Sky Rover seven furlongs in 1.31. Capital and Cheap Money did half a mile along the back in 51sec. and Fair Weather seven furlongs in 1.30 2-5, Manetho doing it in 1.30. Top Rank’s half mile took 51 2-ssec. Ranelagh did a mile in 1.46. Polydora and Sweet. Agnes were together over a mile in 1.42 4-5. ... ~ Tunneller, Silver Step, and Highbrow did six furlongs in 1.18 2-5. Some Shamble and Silver Sight, assisted by Courtyard, ran a mile in 1.44 2-5. Grecian Prince did half a mile along the back in 49 4-ssec. Tout Le Monte and Anvil ran five turlongs in 1.6. Cough beat Importance over a mile in 1.46 3-5. Bunfight ran half a mile easily in 51 3-5 .
