RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Oct. 27. On Thursday evening a very enjoyable time was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs W. C. Gloyn, “Springiields,” the oc- ! casion being the coming-of-ago of their son Raymond. The drawingroom was tastefully decorated with streamers and flowers. After opening the proceedings with a hymn, Rev. R. E. Fordyce offered a word of prayer, and those present went out to the lawn, which was brightly lit up. A happy time was spent playing games and competitions, until supper time, when all returned to the drawingroom where they were favoured with vocal solos by Miss M. Fyfe and Messrs D. B. Rowe, J. A. Rowe, and J. Smith, after whicli a dainty supper was served. The cake, which was made and beautifully iced by Mrs W. Gloyn, was then cut by Mr R. Gloyn. Mr Fordyce congratulated Raymond on attaining his majority, and hoped that ho would be spared to have many more birthdays. In reply, Mr R. Gloyn thanked all present for coming along and hoped they had enjoyed themselves. Mr Fordyce then closed with the Benediction. Among those present were: Mrs W. Gloyn, Misses H.
