QUEEN CARNIVAL SUNDAY CONCERT.

A splendid programme has been arranged for tho concert at the State Theatre tomorrow (Sunday) night, in aid of tho Garrison Band Queen candidate, Miss Beryl Oakley. The committee has been fortunate in securing such excellent artists as Ivan Perrin, tho wizard pianist, of Wellington, who can almost make a piano talk; and Mrs R. Akuira, who has so far never appeared before a Palmerston North audience and will delight her hearers. Mrs Akuira appeared on two occasions before very large audiences, one of five thousand and the other seven thousand. _Mr McBrcarty is another artist who will appear for the first time and will bo in great demand in the future. It would bo impossible to do justice in a short write-up to the very fine artists that will delight the citizens of Palmerston North to-morrow night, but with Miss Edna Boon, Mr Fred Godson, Mr Roy Lester, Miss Joan Thompson, Miss Myra Reid, Mr Alan Sundborn Miss Myra Wilson and the Virginian Masqueraders, a real pleasure is in store at the State Theatre. As there is sure to be a full house, arrangements have been made for intending patrons to book seats at Leary’s Pharmacy (Mr Aitchison s).
