SALVATION ARMY.
APPOINTMENT OF ADJUTANT WALLACE. Adjutant Herbert G. Wallace, of the Newton Corps (Auckland), ivho has been appointed to fill the vacancy in the Central North Division at Palmerston North caused by the death of Major Fraser, will next week be installed in his new office by Brigadier Cottrill at the Salvation Army Citadel. Both Adjutant and Mrs Wallace are children of Salvation Army officers, Adjutant Wallace’s father having been chancellor to the local corps many years ago prior to being appointed to take charge of the Wanganui command, and it is understood that Adjutant Wallace secured his first appointment in Palmerston North. Although he has been stationed at Newton for approximately two years, Adjutant and Mrs Wallace were, prior to going north to the Queen Cito at Dannevirke for 2} years. Both are excellent speakers, are possessed of musical ability and have performed splendid work among the young people of the Army.
