KIMBOLTON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KIMBOLTON, Oct. 25.

The monthly meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the hall on Tuesday. It was decided that Mrs Richardson and Mm Lodge represent Kimbolton and Kiwitea at a meeting of the delegates at Wanganui. Sympathy was extended to Mrs Hocking (president) in her illness. The tennis courts were opened on Wednesday in bright sunshine. A large crowd gathered, of whom many were visitors from other clubs, and play proceeded until dark. Mr Haytliorne . (president) thanked all present and apologised for the absence of the patron, Mr Hare. The president asked Mrs Hare to serve the first ball and declare the courts open. Miss McFarlane (Cheltenham) and S. Waugh were the winners, of the tournament.

Local lambs have been sold for 18s fid and wethers for £1 forward delivery.
