MR J. G. ELIOTT’S CANDIDATURE

“Until tho political situation defines itself more clearly, I am not making any definite announcement beyond the fact that 1 am giving full consideration to the requests I have had to offer myself as a candidate at the next general election,” stated Mr J. G. Eliott, of Feilding, yesterday, when asked what his intentions were in regard to matters political. Mr Eliott added that a good many of his supporters in the back country of the Oroua electorate had pressed him to stand again, but he had deferred giving a reply for the reason stated above.
