IMPROVING SHIPMENTS,

The Commonwealth Government has taken up the question of inferior fruit shipments to London, which was the subject of recent complaints, and amendments are being introduced before Christmas to overcome the defects ill the existing legislation which has precluded Commonwealth intervention. It is also intended to enable stricter supervision in methods of inspection and packing.
