CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.

FINDING BY JURY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 26. After considering for nearly four and a half hours the issues put to them, the jury hearing the claim by Alfred Herbert Williams, furniture salesman, of AVellington, against Stanley Read, a dairy farmer, of Levin, for £2358 damages for loss and injuries resulting from an accident near Tawa Flat returned with a verdict in favour of plaintiff, whom they awarded £909 2s 9d. However, counsel for defendant was given seven days in which to move for a new trial on the ground that the jury’s answers to the issues were inconsistent.
