LATE MR D. J. McLEAN.
FUNERAL AT LEVIN. The large gathering of mourners present at the funeral of the late Mr D. J. McLean on Tuesday afternoon at Levin bore testimony to the esteem in which the deceased gentleman was held throughout Levin and district. Prior to the cortege leaving the residence in Kimberley Road a service was conducted by Rev. lan W. Fraser, who afterwards officiated at the graveside, the Druids’ Lodge service being taken by Bro. F. C. Lemmon. The pall-bearers at the house were Messrs W. J. Meyer, A. R. Wisnewski, R. F. Green, L. Withers, S. Rosswall (brothers-in-laiv) and Noel Wisnewski (nephew); and at the graveside Messrs R. H. Johnson and T. O. de Mey (Levin Returned Soldiers’ Association), A. C. Kennerley and F. IT. Hudson (Levin District High School Committee). H. J. Lancaster (Horowlienua A. and P. Association and Levin Dairy Company), and R. Johnson, senr. (Druids’ Lodge). A. large number of beautiful floral tributes were received.
