UNTRUE RUMOUR.

ANGLO-JAPANESE ALLIANCE. (British Official Wireless. Received October 26, 11.55 a.m. RUGBY, Oct, 25. Rumours that a revival of the AngloJapanese alliance is under contemplation are officially denied. They apparently arose from reports of trade discussions at Tokio between representatives of the Federation of British Industries and the corresponding Japanese organisation. The Federation of British Industries is a purely commercial and entirely unofficial organisation and, as already lias been made emphatically clear by the delegates themselves, the deputation now visiting the Far East has no official status or authority.
