The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., have received the following advice from their London house, dated October 24:—Dairy produce (last week’s quotations in parentheses) : Butter New Zealand choicest salted, 68s to 70s per cwt (655). Flour, bakers’ lots, £8 5s a ton. Bran and pollard, £5 5s a ton. Oats, Algerian, 2s 3d a bushel. Barley, 2s 6d to 2s lOd a bushel. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. A HARDENING TENDENCY. SYDNEY, Oct. 25. At the wool sales to-day 10,910 bales were offered, of which 10,078 were sold at auction; 1462 bales being sold privately. There was keen and general competition for stylish wools showing character and quality, and the improvement in prices noted yesterday was more accentuated. Greasy Merino made to 17d for nine bales from Boorowa.
