NEW ZEALAND TEAM.

Received October 26, 12.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 26.

The New Zealand rowers were afloat yesterday practising for Saturday’s regatta. They impressed as a particularly strong crew. The scullers Smith a.nd Abbott also favourably impressed; Smith is likely to extend Turner, the Australian champion. Heavy rain has swollen the rarra course, but the strong current has not affected the New Zealanders, who said they were accustomed to sucn conditions.
