VALEDICTORY.

REV. M. J. EADE. Prior tto his departure yesterday for the mission field in India, Rev. M. J. Fade was farewelled by members of the Feilding Baptist Church on Tuesday night. Rev. W. 11. Page presided, and speeches appropriate to the occasion were delivered by representatives of the Methodist. Presbyterian, and Baptist Churches and the Salvation Army. On behalf of the citizens of Feilding, the Mayor (Mr C. E. Taylor) also addressed a farewell speech to Mr Eade, who suitably voiced his thanks for the good wishes extended him. Mr Eade left for Wellington yesterday and sailed for his overseas destination to-day.
