AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
CHELTENHAM-KIWITEA CLUB.
Mr T. E. Craine presided at the annual meeting of the Cheltenham-Kiwi-tea Sports Club, only a small number of members being present. Reviewing the season’s activities, the president said the club had come through with a small credit balance, a fact he thought was very satisfactory, having regard to the expense incurred in the laying down of the new cycle track. He thanked the committee and members for their support during the year and wished the club a further successful season. The report and balance-sheet was adopted and the following officers elected: Patron, Mr A. Kidd, president, Mr E. Burrellvice-presidents, Messrs T. E. Craine, H. Branch, W. GBooth and A. Cranston; lion, secretary, Mr H. W.. Wood; general committee, Messrs Burrell. Craine, Branch, Booth, Cranston, T. Ireland, E. Sinclair, J. W. Batchelar, C. E. Johnston, W. G. Clapham, J. Corkill, H. Brooker and D. H. McLean. '
Certain ground improvements were referred to the grounds committee for a report and the executive committee was empowered to draw up the progamme for the next meeting on New Year’s Bay.
