RANGITIKEI.

MARTON, Oct. 23. At a special general meeting of the Marton District A. and P. Association Mr R. W. Marshall presided. Several alterations were made to the association’s rules, one allowing the association to borrow against its'assets. The chairman referred to the services of the gentlemen who came forward and guaranteed the association’s account at the bank in the early days of the association and said that under the new management they would be relieved of their guarantors. The association owed a debt of gratitute to their guarantors and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded those who had acted in that capacity since the association’s formation by acclamation. Messrs A. Stuart, M.P., and H. J. Cameron returned thanks on behalf of the guarantors. The schedule for the 1935 show on January 31 was then considered and approved with several alterations.
