MARTON, Oct. 24. Several pupils and ex-pupils of the Marton D.H. School were successful in the Victoria College University terms examinations. They are as follow: Present pupils: Vivienne Beavis, English and history, stage 1; Henry Lambert, history, stage 1. Ex-pupils: Katie Dukeson, English 1, philosophy 1, economics 1, history III; Samuel Lewis, economics and history, stage 1, French, stage 1; Joan Neilsen, English, stage 11, history, stage 1; J. E. Goodall, history, stage I. In the Navy League’s essay competition for the Palmer Prize Clifford Stantiall was placed second. '
At the week-end the final for the men’s senior championship of the Marton Golf Club was played between A. Fullerton-Smith and A. D. FullertonSmith, the former winning by 7 up and 6 to play.
