BUSINESS GIRLS’ CLUB.

LUNCHEON AND HIKE. The speaker at the luncheon of the Business Girls’ Club to-day was Mr R. H. Spencer. Speaking on the lines of a previous address he delivered in the city Mr Spencer described a recent trip to the Islands and spoke in a very interesting manner of the charms of these Pacific gems. Miss Joyce O’Neill presided and on her call Mr Spencer was accorded a vote of appreciation. Miss I. Harding, the secretary of the Business Girls’ Club at Hastings, was welcomed and greeting were sent to the sister club. Apologies for absence were voiced for Mrs A. E. Mansford, Mrs M. Aitchison, and Mrs M. H. Oram.

Last evening members of the club conducted a successful moonlight hike to Tiritea, when about 20 assembled. The destination was kept a strict secret until it' was reached.
