FUTURE SECRETARYSHIP.
Received September 20. 11.55 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 19. The Labour Party Conference at Southport on October 1 will consider the executive’s report explaining the decision to reject the Communist and Independent Labour Parties’ proposals for a united front against Fascism. It is announced that Mr Arthur .Henderson’s resignation from the secretaryship will take effect on December 31. The secretaryship will henceforth not be tenable by a Cabinet Minister.
