ANNUAL BALL
ST. PATRICK’S FOOTBALL BALL
PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES.
The annual ball of St. Patrick’s Football Club, held in the De Luxe Hall last evening, proved to be a very popular function. There was bright music for dancing, novelties, were distributed, and the decorative scheme in the hall gave it a most pleasing appearance. The club’s colours of green and white were a prominent feature, those of the other clubs being included in a gesture of goodwill. The programme was admirably controlled by Messrs E. J. Stone and T. E. Davidson. The committee responsible for the organisation of the gathering consisted of Messrs J. J. O’Seha, J. Delaney, F. Spelman, T. E. Davidson, P. Ferguson, T. Madgwick, M. McKay, L. Smith, F. Donnelly, N. Rush, under the efficient secretary. Mr E. J. Stone. The supper arrangements were capably supervised by the following ladies’ committee: —Mrs Stone, who wore black chenille and georgette; Mrs Tottman, in black velvet and georgette ; Mrs Johnston, pink laoe; Mrs Madgwick, oyster satin; Mrs Burke, black lace; Miss B. Muir, green velvet; Miss M. Smith, white ring velvet, Mesdames Heaphy and McNab, and Miss Simpson. Among those present were Messrs K. W. Eglinton, vice-president of the Manawatu Rugby Union; J. White (secretary), H. R. Crawford, L. G. Berry, H. Bowler and H. J. Hickey, members of the union.
