The following were the results of the jumping ©vents I - ” - York Hurdle Race. Two miles.—Sarokos, 10.6 (Zeally), 1; Nyerimilang, 11.0 (Sandiford), 2; Old Home, 9.7 (Fullarton), 3. Eleven started, including Bayacre. A
head; four lengths. Prismatic was fourth and Bayacre tenth. Time, 3.36^- — a course record. Hopetoun Steeplechase. Two miles and 110 yards.—Pastolus, 10.3 (Dynon), 1; Trafalable, 10.5 (Dummett), 2; Howrah, 9.4 (Douglas), 3. Ten started. Head; six lengths. Time, 3.58 3-4. Royal Visitor was unplaced. Cape Morn and Sir Quex were unplaced in the Rothsay Handicap, and Cape Fair was unplaced in the Sandringham Handicap. BRISBANE MEETING. SYDNEY, June 3. The Brisbane Turf Club’s Cup meeting opened yesterday. The following was the result of the Stradbroke Handicap Six furlongs.—Pterol Lager, 7.6 (Carmont), 1; Cuban Song, 7.3 (Bennett), 2; Moorenbar, 7.11 (O’Brien), 3. Fourteen started. A length and a half; a length. Time, 1.12 a. BIRTHDAY CUP AT ADELAIDE. ADELAIDE. June 3. The following was the result of the Birthday Cup, one mile and five furlongs, at Adelaide: —Ruach, 9.5 (Cann), 1; Prince Paladin, 8.3 (Sharpe). 2; Caldale, 7.0 (Higson), 3. Eleven started. Two lengths. Time, 2.46.
