WORLD YACHT RACE.

START IN AUGUST. Received May 24, 11.55 a.m. LONDON, May 23. A round-the-world amateur yacht race from England starts in August, touching at Capetown, Wellington, the Marquesas, Galapagos, Panama, Ber,muda and the Azores, then Home, occupying nine months. Auxiliary engines will be permitted. The proposal originated with Mr Erling Tambs, the Danish yachtsman, whose cruise from the North Sea ended with the wreck in the South Seas of the Teddy.
