SWEEPSTAKE PRIZES.
NEW ZEALANDERS’ LUCK. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 23. New Zealand subscribers won the third, fourth, and fifth prizes in a consultation drawn at Hobart, Tasmania, yesterday, under Government supervision. The winner of the third prize of £1250 was “First Try Syndicate,” care of Mrs J. B. Waianakarua, Oamarii (ticket 156706). The lourtli prize ol £IOOO was won by “A.E.M.”, Jellicoe Street South, New Brighton, Christchurch (ticket 171652). The winner of the fifth prize of £750 was “C.N.P.”, St. James’s Street, Avonside, Christchurch (ticket 82397). THE CHRISTCHURCH WINNERS CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. The two Christchurch winners of prizes in the Hobart consultation are fairly' well-known residents. Mr A. E. Halley, who won the fourth prize of £IOOO, is a draper employed by Messrs T. Armstrong and Co. He is" middleaged and a widower, living with his family. He owns a lull interest in the ticket. The winner of the fifth prize of £750 is Air C. N. Pearce, a single Ilian, in steady employment, living at 21 St. James’s Street, Limvood.
