Collis), when these were under consideration at the annual meeting of the Kairanga County Council, yesterday afternoon. Estimates adopted provided for an expenditure of £2436 in the general account. In riding expenditure, an allocation of £4741 was mado to the Taonui riding. Funds in hand or receivable were stated to amount to £3349 17s Gd, leaving a balance of £1391 2s 6d to bo found by rates during the current year. Revenue estimated to be available in the Mangaone riding was £3592 4s 4d. Expenditure was estimated at £5409, leaving £lßl6 15s 8d to be provided by rates. Expenditure proposed in the Fitzlrerbert riding was £4576 10s 7d. Funds available were estimated at £2755 6s sd, leaving £lß2l 4s 2d to be found by rates.

Tire hospital rating account levy showed £3922 18s 2d to be required to meet this y'ear’s commitments, and a debit balance of £254 17s 2d on March 31 last. It was increased this year on account of capital expenditure, failure to collect fees, and an increase in charitable aid. Provision bad also to be made for liquidating the overdraft. “The levy Iras been increased by £7OO on us, but there are several county' chairmen on the Hospital Board carefully watching expenditure,” he said. “We have no alternative hue to adopt this.” The account was approved without further comment.
