AGE MARRIES.

A WELLINGTON ROMANCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 23. A widow in her 80th year and a widower in his 79th year were married in the Wellington City Mission chapel to-day. The contracting parties were William Anderson, aged 78, of Wellington, and Mrs Jane Ericsson, aged 79, a widow, also of Wellington. Mr Anderson, who arrived at the City Mission ten minutes before the time set for the ceremony, was in jovial mood and talked freely about “my girl.” He has 15 grandchildren and his bride has 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, one of whom is to be married shortly.
