OWNER OF WALLA WALLA.

Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 18. At a meeting of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club to-day, a presentation of a gold chronometer and hunting watch was made to Mr L. S. Martin, owner of Walla Walla. The inscription stated that the gift was "in appreciation of his sportsmanship in bringing Walla Walla to Christchurch." Mr J. S. Shaw, owner of Worthy Queen, who broke the trotting mile record, and Mr W. McKay, owner of Auburn Lad, who established a mile record for New Zealand, were each presented with £SO.
