OPENING IN ENGLAND. three conditions imposed, DOMINION MARKETS SOUGHT. ' ’(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 18, 9.55 a.m. LONDON, April 17. The News-Chronicle’s Berlin correspondent says that the German Government has authorised eighteen German firms to open factories in Lancashire and Yorkshire 'to manufacture women’s ready-made clothing, provided, firstly, that 50 per cent, of the materials are of German origin; secondly, that all financial transactions are supervised by a trustee representing the German Government; and, thirdly, that the establishment of factories m England will not entail dismissals in German factories. . . It is believed that the output is intended principally for Dominion markets.
