(From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, April 16. Town and country teams met for a return game at Sanson, on Saturday, the town team winning an interesting game by 13 sets (118 games) to 11 sets (114 games). A meeting was held at the County Office on Saturday night to make arrangements for the usual Anzac service. Mr H. J. Fagan presided over a moderate attendance. Rev. R. S. Fordycc said he would not be available for an afternoon service on account of having promised to attend at Rongotea. It was decided to hold the service as usual at the Public Hall on the afternoon of Anzac Day at 2 o’clock. Mr G. T. Francis was deputed to make arrangements for Revs. White and Lane to assist at the service. Mrs TV. E. Pearce was appointed organist and Mr A. K. Drew to conduct the musical portion of the programme. It was also decided to tako up a retiring collection, the money to be handed to the Bulls branch of tho Returned Soldiers’ Association. Miss Penny is to be asked to make a wreath, to be placed at_ the school memorial gate after tho service. A general meeting of members of the Sandon Sport 3 Club was held on Saturday night. Mr H. J. Fagan presided over a fair attendance. The secretary presented a rough statement cf the finances in connection with the recent sports which showed a small credit balance. Members considered the result satisfactory. A general discussion followed and various suggestions were noted for the consideration of members at tho annual meeting. The annual meeting of the Sandon Ping Pong Club was held on Saturday night. There was a good attendance, Mr E. N. Butler presiding. The chairman extended a welcome to all present and briefly reviewed tho past season’s operations. The season’s plav had been most enjoyable. Games had been played against Bulls and Mt. Stewart Clubs, both being lost. Club championships were won by Miss Molly Butler (ladies) and Mr M. Sanson (men). Special thanks were due to Mrs E. N. Butler, Mr E. Wilcock, and Mr D. Murray. The club had two good tables and it was hoped to procure a third at an early date. Officers for the year wore elected as follow:—Patron, Mr E. Wilcock: president, Mr A. Nesbit; vice-presidents, Messrs L. Matthews, Ken Lumsden, .T. Masters, C. Sanson, A. McCormick. E. Davey; hon. secretary, Mr E. N. Butler; executive, Messrs M. Sanson, M. Cockburn, Keith Lumsden. L. Andrew, A. Matthews; social committee, all lady members with Messrs Ken Lumsden, J. Davey, and F. Meyer; club captain, Mr .Ken Lumsden; vice-captain, Mr L. Andrew; delegates, Messrs Keith Lumsden, A. Matthews, and the secretary; chaperons, Mrs •E. N. Butler and Miss G. Sanson. It was resolved that the question of procuring nets, bats, and arranging an extension for lights be left with the executive. Mr A Matthews kindly donated one extension light. The meeting was followed by some friendly games. The lady members provided supper,
