PIGEON RACING
Over the week-end the Manawatu Homing Pigeon Club held two interval faces from Wellington, the liberation bein'* kindly carried out by Mr J. . i. Bruce. The following are the psults: -Male birds: W. Anderson's bin. chequer, No. 215 1255yds. per minute, 1- N. Harvey’s blue chequer, No. 226, 997yd5., 2; Milford Lofts s b.w.f. No U p a remarkable performance in doing the journev in lhr. 50mm. s'sec. Hen birds: A. E. Marshall’s red chequer, No. 105, 999yds. per mmute 1; Milford Lofts’s blue chequer, No IW, 950 2vds 2; Eoskilda Loftss black chequer, No. 240, 937yd5., 3. The[club hampers on Thursday for Ward (South Island) and on Friday for Hawera.
