HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The annual chrysanthemum show will be held in the Empire Hall on Saturday, April 28. As there are many admirers of this favourite flower a good attendance is expected. Growers have been very attentive in caring for their blooms and thoro should be some beautiful specimens of view. The members of the Chrysanthemum Club are very enthusiastic and in the classes devoted to members of the club there should bo keen competition. There are classes for all professional, amateur, and novice. Other flowers in season are catered for. The vegetable and fruit sections should attract many entries. The domestic and decorative classes should interest the ladies, and there aie also classes for girls under 18; and under 14. Three classes for chrysanthemums are open only to members of Women s institutes. Schedules are obtainable at the florists. Arrangements are being made lor musical items between 7 p.m. and 8 p.rn., by well-known local artists. Thoso mem-
