INSURANCE ACT.

CHIEF JUSTICE’S COMMENT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 17. The Court of Appeal last week intimated that it desired to hear further argument in the case of Tremain v. the Public Trustee, previously argued before it on March 21. The point involved is on of the construction of the provisions of the Life Insurance Act, being whether the provisions in that Act relating to the protection of policy moneys applied on the death or bankruptcy of the person insured, or of the policy holder. In the course of the hearing of argument this morning, the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) stated that it was quite obvious that the provisions of tiie Act required careful revision and redrafting with precision. The Court reserved its decision.
