HOUSEHOLDERS’ CENSURE.
ON ARANUI SCHOOLMASTER, Por Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. The meetings of householders in the Christchurch school districts passed off without incident excopt at Aranui, where adverse comment was freely expressed because the headmaster was not present, nor did lie forward a report. He was criticised further for not closing the school for the annual picnic, although no children attended the classes, tho teachers being the sole occupants of the rooms that day. A motion was carried deploring the headmaster’s absence from tlie meeting and recording the householders’ censure. There was one dissentient, who declared they were “a bit tough on tho headmaster.” At the same time, it was remarked by the chairman, that with 100 per cent, proficiency passes, there was nothing to worry about in the teaching of the school. Eighty attended the meeting.
