THE PIG INDUSTRY.
The attention of all interested in the rearing and fattending of pigs is directed to tho demonstration that is notified for next Thursday morning at the abttoir, Ka\v» Ivawa Road, Fcilding, at 10.30. This is another of tho series of exhibitions that havo been arranged in different centres, anil represents the co-operative efforts that are being made by producers, curing firms and the retail grceer in an earnest endeavour to improvo the type and quality of our p;gs and to encourage the further expansion of this scmi-ncglccled industry on sound lines. The Manawatu-Oroua Pig Development and Recording Chib, which operates in this district, is desirous c,f making the scope of its service as wide as possible and every farmer is invited to take advantage of any assistance the club can give by way of helping to put tho pig department of tho dairy farm on a better and more profitable basis. This service is freo on request and it. is confidently cxpoctod that a largo number will be in attendance on Thursday, when something essentially practical will be staged for tho mutual benefit of all concerned.
