AUTUMN FOURSOMES
LADIES’ GOLF UNION. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 10. The New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union autumn foursomes began at Shirley to-dav in dull and showery weather. The first round results include the following: Mesdames W. Russell and A. Waddell (New Plymouth) boat Mrs Wilkin and Miss D. Bruce by default; .Mrs G. H. Reid and Mrs Lufton beat Mcsdames Donald and Vernon, 6 and 4; Miss IVhite Parsons and Miss Parsons beat Mrs McFarlane and Miss Morton, 5 and 4. The matches are played on threefifths of the combined medal handicap, with a limit of 20.
