LESSONS TO BE BROADCAST

SERVICE FOR SCHOOLS. CHRISTCHURCH, April 9. Canterbury and “West Coast schools will again this year have a series of broadcast lessons from station 3YA. The service which was conducted last year by 1 a committee under the chairmanship of Mr J. G. Poison, principal of the Christchurch Teachers’ Training College, was threatened with breakdown owing to his transfer to other duties after the closing of the college, but Professor J. Shelley, of Canterbury College, took over tlie responsibility of maintaining the service, and all arrangements have now been made for the resumption of the broadcasts on Wednesday.
