LAMB PRICES EASE SLIGHTLY. MUTTON AND BEEF SLOW. Lamb prices shade easier,. owing to buyers having filled immediate requirements, but tone of market good and consumption satisfactory. Mutton market: Wethers, trade slow and prices slightly easier except for lightweights. Ewes meeting with fair demand. Beef market: Demand quiet owing to continued low prices Argentina chilled beef. N.Z. porker pigs: Meeting with good trado but at lower prices. N.Z. baconer pigs: Demand steady for small supplies available. Tho above weekly report was received by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following aro the approximate average prices realised for tho week ended April 5, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned, and aro for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market and/or ox London stores.
