CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES
Unreality, was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was from Prow 12: 5, “The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.” Among the citations comprising the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “How much better it is to get wisdom than gold 1 and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver 1 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil : he that kcepeth his way preserveth his soul.” (Prow 1C: 16, 17.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “If goodness and spirituality are real, evil and materiality are unreal and cannot be the outcome of an infinite God, good. If evil is real, Truth must make it so; but error, not Truth, is the author of the unreal, and the unreal vanishes, while all that is real is eternal.” (pp. 277, 474.)
