AVIATION FATALITY.

PARACHUTE NOT TRUSTED. LONDON, March 12. A curious aviation fatality occurred at Thronburg (Gloucestershire), when an R.A.F. Westland Wallace bomber developed engine trouble and crashed, killing Aircraftsman Griffiths, although the pilot, Lemay, jumped with a parachute and was saved. _ Realising the certainty of disaster, Lemay tried to persuade Griffiths to trust to his parachute, but this was fruitless, Griffiths being apparently frightened. After delaying his own jump till the last moment, Lemay stepped off the bomber and landed safely.
