CIVIL AVIATION.

DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. The constitution of a separate department of civil aviation was advocated by a deputation from the New Zealand Aero Club to Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes and the Defence Minister (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) to-night. The deputation also sought an increase in the amount of the present subsidy. The Ministers promised consideration. At the annual meeting of the club the official pageant for the North Island was allocated to Hawke’s Bay, and the South Island one is to be offered to the new West Coast Club. On the ground of expense the meeting decided not to proceed with the scheme to instal a system of short-wave communication between the clubs.
