PAHIATUA
PAHIATUA, Nov. 30. A general meeting of the Mangatainoka Amateur Athletic Society was held last evening. The president (Mr F. El Ward) occupied the chair. Various officials, for the sports meeting were appointed.'' Mr R. W. Iteaburn, of Palmerston North, wrote agreeing to judge the Highland events. Mr J. Bambry, of Pongaroa, again undertook to handicap the chopping and sawing events.
The many friends of Miss Zilla Biown, of Hamua, will be pleased to learn that she is progressing favourably after a severe attack of influenza. Mr T. W. Watts, of Pahiatua, has returned from a visit to Dunedin and Christchurch. Mr T. Jones, an old settler of Ballance, is in very indifferent health.
