VIGOROUS PROTEST.
RELIEF PAY REDUCTION. Per Press Association. STRATFORD, Nov. 25. A vigorous protest against the reduction in unemployed relief pay was made lay the Mayor (Mr J. W. McMillan) in an address last night. “In the past the position has been bad enough, but since the Unemployment Board considered it better to give building subsidies equivalent to presents to people who could afford to build without asistance it has been much worse. I do not know how the unfortunate people will fare now that their allocation is being reduced in order to help those who do not need help,” said the Mayor,
