KAIRANGA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) KAIRANGA, Nov. 2.
The Kairuuga hall was tho seeno of a delightful party last overling to cclebrato the coiriing-of-ttge of Mr .Jack Male, the hall had been gaily decorated for the occasion with streamers, bush clematis and greenery. Mosdumes O. Turner and .J. Burmoislor were tho hostesses, the former wearing a frock of saxe lace with velvet coatee and the latter navy laeo and georgette. Mr P. Kriven carried out the duties of M.O. A merry time was spent in dancing to music played by Mrs Murphy, of Milson. Extras were pluyed by MiHH R. Gray and Mr Ronherg. Tho lucky Gay Gordons was won by Mrs O. Turner and Mr H. Burmoistor, while Miss E. Do Clocno and Mr Rush wore the winners in tho Mon to Carlo dance. Songs were contributed by Miss F. Doherty. Paper hats were also distributed and added to the gaiety of tho evening. A dainty sit down supper was served. Tho tables decorated in pink and iriauvo, wero much admired, also tho beautiful pink birthday cake, made and decorated with the customary 21 candles and gold key by Mrs G. Turner. Tho toasts wero: “Tho King", Mr Kriven; “Guest of tho Evening”, Mr J). Bush, Mr Male suitably responding; “Tho Ladies”, Mr L. Clark —Mr P. Kriven. Dancing was continued until tho early hours of the morning when the gathering concluded with tho singing of musical honours and Auld Lang Syne. Amongst those present were: Mcsdaincs G. Turner, J. Burmcistcr; J. Pratt, blue floral taffeta; R. Clark, black floral taffeta; Lawrence, rod satin; Diveliall, wino satin and liluek coatee; J.. Clark, pink georgette and lace; Martin, black satin; Misses (J. Niohol, pink floral georgette; G. Palmer, lemon floral taffeta; Gooksley, blue floral taffeta; L. Hughes, pink satin; A. McLaren, green satin; If. Bennett, lemon organdie; It. Gray, green satin; Lawrence, pink satin; J. Grey, beige laeo; F. Doherty, black satin; J’. Doherty, pink taffeta; E. Greon, pink satin; J. Croon, white, and rod velvet coatee; 1. Green, black georgette; A. Thompson, red laeo; v. Voss, pink georgette mid laeo; B. Hughes, floral pique; G. Dorn, bluck georgette; I. Hyde, green satin; <J. Eglinlon, apricot taffeta; B. Matrin, floral georgette; O. Anderson, blue; B. Anderson, white and green frock; Hewer, green satin; Wilkinson, lemon taffeta; Mayhcw, black; E. Do Clecno, whito satin, red velvet coatee; P. Cronin, Saxo georgette and lemon velvet eoaloo; V. Cronin, bluo satin and laeo coatee; R. Clark, pink satin.
