TO BE BROUGHT UP TO DATE. Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) Ky . WELLINGTON. Oct. 31. A Harbours Amendment Bill will be introduced into the House of Representatives to-day bv Governor-General’s message. It is understood that the Bill contains no important new principle, but gives effect .to a number of reel nests which have been made from time to time by the Harbours Association. / ' , There will also be one or two amendments to remove anomalies in the existing legislation. For some time past harbour boards have been urging upon the Government the necessity for bringing the Harbours Act up to date, but the introduction of legislation has been delayed from year to year.
