PLOT AGAINST DOLLFUSS.
AUSTRIAN NAZIS’ COUP. Received October 30, 10.25 a.m, VIENNA, Oct. 29. Austrian Nazis, planning a sensational coup d’etat to overthrow Dr. Dollfuss, obtained large supplies of machine guns and rifles. A private army numbering thousands is expected to bo doubled by reinforcements from Germany. Dr. Dollfuss, who learned of the plans for the uprising, is desperately striving to avert it, daily raiding the homes of Nazi suspects. PRISONERS IN AUSTRIA. A CAMP SCHEME. VIENNA, Oct. 2S. Austria’s first “surveillance centre for political prisoners” was opened at Woollersdori. Housing 20 Nazis and Communists, it resembles the German camps, but the term concentration camp is forbidden in the newspapers. The prisoners are obliged to pay for their own food and accommodation; also their guards’ • wages and the cost of upkeep erf the centre, whither they are conveyed at their own expense.
