WOOL PRICES RISE
BRADFORD TOME SOUND. HIGHER LEVELS REACHED. REVIEW OF THE MARKET. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received October 30, 8.40 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 29. Mr W. P. Devereux, representative of the Australian Wool Council, reports that, in sympathy with the firmer tendency overseas,. the markets for fine wools have rather appreciated in price, hut the low quotations from South America for coarse crossbreds have been a somewhat disturbing influence on these descriptions. There is a sound tone at Bradford and Merino topmakers have again advanced their prices. Spinners are reluctant to follow, but a satisfactory amount of new business is being transacted. \ Fine crossbred tops have advanced and the business transacted at the higher level for medium and low crossbred tops has improved, but there is not much new business. Increased activity is apparent on the German markets and sales of tops have substantially increased in volume. The Continental futures markets are fairly, active.
