UPPER HOUSE REFORM.
ROYAL ASSENT GIVEN. SYDNEY, Sept. 26. It was announced in the Legislative Assembly to-night that the Royal Assent had been given to the Legislative Council Elections Act, .which provides machinery for electing members of the re-formed Council. Thus Mr J. T. Lang’s recent petition to the King to delay assent was of no avail.
