Next Alondav Palmerston North’s Prosperity Campaign commences in real' earnest. Every queen committee is busy preparing attractions on behalf of its candidate and from all reports Palmerston North will be the centre of much entertainment. An advertisement on another page sets out details of a mixed card evening which is being held at Alessi-3 Collinson and Cunningliame’s tea rooms next Alonday evening at eight o’clock in aid of tho Plunket and Nursing Services candidate, AJiss Joan Barnett, All her supporters are requested to ring cither 6423 or 6375 before Saturday for reservations of tables.
