FEAR OF BLACKS. CANBERRA, Sept. 12. Tlie Minister of the Interior, Hon. J. A. Perkins, says that though the Groote Eylandt mission people do not fear trouble with the natives, Lieut.Colonel R. H. Weddell, Administrator of the Northern Territory, does, and it was by his advice that a party of police was being sent. Lieut.-Colonel Weddell, in a report, stated that certain natives believed that tlie missionaries were responsible for betraying them to the police and were determined upon revenge.
