SPLITTING THE ATOM.
HOPES FOR ENERGY. LONDON, Sept. 11. Lord Rutherford, of Nelson, speaking at the meeting of the British Association, said that though the atom had been split into at least 80 constituents, experiments had proved to he moonshine the hopes of those expecting that its splitting would release the mighty energy of nature.
