HIMATANGI-RANGIOTU ROAD
GRANT FOR SEALING,
WORK TO BE COMPLETED
Starting about Christmas, the remaining 6i miles of unsealed portion of the Himatangi-Rangiotu Road will be completed by the Manawatu County Council, notification of a grant of £7OOO on a £3 for £1 subsidy basis for sealing work on the road having been received by the council from the Main Highways Board yesterday. Tenders for the work will be called within the next two or three weeks and it is expected that the completion of the work will take from three to three and a-half months from the date of starting.
