EXTRACTS FROM “STANDARD.” SEPTEMBER 12, 1903.

The quarterly meeting of the Woodville Farmers’ Club had been held under the chairmanship of Mr S. Bolton. The gathering was addressed by Mr H. C. Cameron, Government Produce Commissioner.

A 620 z. gold nugget had been found at Mount Morgan, Queensland. Details of the alterations to the railway station and yard were laid before the Palmerston North Borough Council. It was decided to call a meeting of residents to ascertain their opinions regarding certain of the proposals. The Working Men’s Club decided to purchase a new site in Cuba Street and to erect new premises on the site, the building to cost £IBOO.
